What is covered
in a Harry Whitney clinic?
Join Harry Whitney for two weeks of
learning and adventure at Miracle Mountain Ranch in Jackson. Seven
riders will spend five full days two weeks in a row riding with
Harry Whitney.
He will help
riders build on their groundwork, seat, and advanced riding skills
in a concentrated, yet relaxed, format.
The clinic is limited to 7 participants
to ensure personal attention. All breeds and riding disciplines
are welcome.
In each session, participants work with
Harry to improve their communication and relationship with their
horse. Harry will help you to understand problems from the horse's
point of view, so you can eliminate communication barriers and improve
your performance together.
Harry lets the needs of the participant's
dictate what is covered in any session. Over ten days, riders will
be amazed at the progress they make on issues and skills they didn't
even know they needed to work on.
Once you are able to communicate more
clearly with your horse and understand their point of view better,
you will build trust and confidence in each other. All horsemanship
skills build on this trust and communication. Harry will help
each rider advance those skills in the arena and on the trail.
About Harry
Whitney
Harry has been teaching riders to think
'from the horse's point of view' for over 25 years. His background
includes a wide range of experience, including everything from the
skills of a working cowboy to training stunt horses. He trained
under Tom Dorrence, and has taken his rightful place alongside other
great people who have a special gift for understanding horses, and
communicating that to riders.
Whether you are experiencing a problem
on the trail or in the show ring, Harry will show you how to break
down what is happening so both you and your horse understand it
and can improve the outcome.

Whitney's web site for more background information on Harry.

Audit and
learn from the ground!
If you can't bring your horse, or you
don't have a horse, join us as an auditor. Bring
your chair for a front row seat at the arena, where you will see
Harry help the riders solve numerous problems, including many problems
you might have yourself!
Whether you have been riding horses
for 20 years or 2 months, there is something for you to learn at
this year's clinic! To get
the most from the experience, auditors, as well as participants,
need to see the process from beginning to end. Therefore,
we recommend auditors commit to a full week at a time.
